If we think of our mental environs as an invaded territory with bomb craters everywhere, each crater would be full of these cute little corporate logos. Nike, Starbucks, Bennetton, Apple. They are, effectively, burned into our conscious mindscreen like little scars; thousands of them, absolute ubiquity in each persons mind. They begin to shape our identities, and assimilate our culture. This is a grave thought to be considered, because in the end this consumption becomes our culture. Then we lose who we are.
